After having your breakfast at the hotel, fly to Luxor. Check in to your Nile cruise. Visit the Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. Karnak is not just a temple; it is a complex of temples. The walls, columns, pylons, and murals tell the glorious history of the Pharaohs. With your private guide, you will receive full information about this great place of worship dedicated to the cult of Ra. In the evening, tour the Luxor Temple, which was once connected to Karnak through the Avenue of the Ram-headed Sphinxes. Visit the attractions of Luxor on the West Bank of the Nile, including the Valley of the Kings, the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. Start with the Valley of the Kings; your guide will explain the most important stories of the place and recommend the best tombs to visit. Next, explore the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut. During Luxor day tours, your guide will explain the history of the temple before giving you free time to explore it on your own and take photos of the highlights. Finally, stop at the Colossi of Memnon. You will then return to the Nile cruise.

The Colossi of Memnon

The Colossi of Memnon are two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, located on the west bank of Luxor. They once guarded the entrance to his mortuary temple and are famous for their impressive size and grandeur.

Start your Aswan day tours with Edfu Temple, dedicated to Horus, son of Osiris and Isis. The temple records the myth of Horus avenging his father’s death against his uncle Seth, and the wall carvings are still in excellent condition.

Leave Edfu Temple for the second visit by sailing, stopping at Kom Ombo to visit the dual temple. This place was dedicated to both Horus and Sobek. Horus is the falcon-headed god, while Sobek has a crocodile head. Enjoy the story of the mummified crocodiles that are still kept in the temple sanctuary.

Your Egyptologist tour guide will pick you up from your Nile Cruise. Your first stop will be Philae Temple, a picturesque landmark in Aswan. The temple sits on Agilika Island on the Nile. The striking scenery and cool atmosphere of the island, along with the surrounding farms, have made the temple a favorite sightseeing spot. The temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, is reached via a short motorboat ride. Your guide will accompany you on a walking tour through the temple before giving you free time to explore further on your own. The temple has various shrines and sanctuaries celebrating the deities involved in the myth of Isis and Osiris.

Next, visit the High Dam in Aswan, one of the great projects in modern Egyptian history. Built between 1960-1970, the dam had a significant impact on Egypt’s economy and culture. It protected Egypt from the dangers of the annual flood and provided water storage for agriculture and development.

Later, visit the unfinished obelisk and granite quarry. This obelisk still lies in its original place because of a crack found. Had it been erected, it would have been the largest obelisk of Ancient Egypt, reaching a stunning height of 42 meters. Nevertheless, it is the largest known monolith of Ancient Egypt and one of the largest in the world, with an estimated weight of 1,160 tons.
