Pyramids of Giza

Upon arriving in Aswan, you will have free time to enjoy the Nubian atmosphere and culture with an optional excursion to visit the spice market. Many optional tours are available upon request.
You have free time in the morning. Go for an optional tour to Abu Simbel (highly recommended). Enjoy a night on a felucca sailing to Kom Ombo.

Abu Simbel Temple
The Abu Simbel Temple is one of the greatest ancient Egyptian monuments, built by King Ramses II in the 13th century BC to honor himself and his wife, Queen Nefertari. The temple is famous for its massive rock-cut statues and was relocated in the 1960s to save it from Lake Nasser’s rising waters.
Visit the Temple of Kom Ombo. The Greeks dedicated the temple to both Horus (the falcon) and Sobek (the crocodile) in Kom Ombo. After this visit, enjoy a four-hour drive to Luxor.

Kom Ombo Temple
The Temple of Kom Ombo is unique for its double design, dedicated to two gods—Horus the falcon and Sobek the crocodile. It overlooks the Nile and showcases beautiful reliefs depicting medicine, surgery, and daily life in ancient Egypt.
On the West side of the Nile are the Valley of the Kings, the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. Start with the Valley of the Kings; your guide will explain the most important stories of the place and recommend the best tombs to visit. Next, explore the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Your guide will explain the history of the temple before giving you free time to explore it yourself and take photos of the highlights. Finally, stop at the Colossi of Memnon. Then, on returning to the east bank, you will visit Karnak Temple.

The Valley of the Kings

The Colossi of Memnon
The Colossi of Memnon are two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, located on the west bank of Luxor. They once guarded the entrance to his mortuary temple and are famous for their impressive size and grandeur.
