Upon crossing the land borders of Taba into Egypt, welcome to the land of the Pharaohs. Our representative will be waiting for you; get on the air-conditioned vehicle and set off to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo, you will start the tour with your own private guide. Of course, visiting the pyramids is on top of the bucket list of millions of people all over the world. Our company will bring your dream to reality. Listen to your guide talking about the Egyptian Pharaohs, gods, goddesses, mythology, and mummification. Your private Egyptologist guide will be happy to answer all your questions and explain all the history and the mystery of the pyramids. You will have full time to do activities such as entering the chambers and visiting the Sun Boat Museum. Follow your guide’s steps to visit the Sphinx and the Valley Temple. Following this, visit one of the biggest museums in the world. Your Egyptologist guide will explain the masterpieces of the Egyptian Museum. You will be captivated by the most famous and largest art collection in the world. Some artifacts date back five millennia and more are on display. The treasures found in King Tutankhamun's tomb are the top attractions among the exhibits. Your private live guide will give you the chance to have some private free time to explore more of the museum, and you may like to visit the Royal Mummy Room (upon your request for an extra cost). When the tour ends, you will return to the hotel.

After having breakfast, check out and start a short tour to the site of Sakkara. Beyond your expectations, the great experience continues. In this famous archaeological site, you will explore the complex of the oldest of all pyramids. The Step Pyramid, which is 4,800 years old, is the first stone structure in Ancient Egypt. You will learn how the great architect Imhotep changed the royal tomb structure. Your guide will accompany you inside one of the tombs dedicated to the nobles. You will see the wall paintings and reliefs reflecting the life of Egyptians thousands of years ago. Amazingly, the ink and colors are still on the walls. Next, the entry to the Pyramid of Titi is one of the highlights of the tour as hieroglyphic texts cover the chamber walls, dating back to 2340 B.C. Later, drive to Memphis. The city was the first and oldest capital of Egypt after the unification of the South and North kingdoms. Enjoy exploring the ruins in the open-air museum where the second-largest Sphinx is on display. Stare in awe at the colossal statue of Ramses II, which shows how the art of sculpture reached perfection around 1200 B.C.

Pyramids of Giza

Memphis

Memphis is located about 20 kilometers south of Cairo and was the capital of ancient Egypt during the Old Kingdom.
The city was famous for its pyramids and temples, especially the colossal statue of the Great Sphinx, and served as an important religious and administrative center.
Today, Memphis is an important archaeological site featuring an open-air museum displaying ancient statues, temple ruins, and various pharaonic monuments.

Saqqara

Saqqara is located south of Cairo and is one of the most important archaeological sites in ancient Egypt.
It is famous for its pyramid complex, especially the Step Pyramid of Djoser, considered the first pyramid ever built.
The area contains ancient tombs decorated with inscriptions and paintings that document the lives and burial customs of the ancient Egyptians.

With your Egyptologist guide, spend a wonderful day in the beautiful coastal city of Alexandria. The drive from Cairo to Alexandria is about 3 hours through the desert road. Once in the city, start with the Catacombs. This Roman subterranean tomb dates back to the 1st century A.D. and shows the great influence of Egyptian mythology and burial customs on the Romans. Descend 75 feet to see the impressive mix of Egyptian and Roman art. After navigating the maze and complex plan of the tomb, go upstairs and enjoy the Mediterranean breeze at the Fort of Qaitbay. The fort was built on Pharos Island where the Great Lighthouse of Alexandria once stood. From the top, enjoy the view of the blue sea and the city of Alexandria. Finally, the modern Library of Alexandria is a revival of the ancient one built by Ptolemy I. Explore the various exhibits and the latest technologies in this great center of culture and knowledge. Before driving back to Cairo, do not forget to have fresh seafood for lunch (upon request). This is the best type of food you can have there.

The Catacombs

The Catacombs, also known as Kom El-Shaqafa Catacombs, are located in Alexandria and are one of the most important archaeological sites combining ancient Egyptian, Roman, and Greek cultures.
They consist of underground tombs decorated with carvings and statues depicting daily life and religious beliefs of ancient Egyptians.
The catacombs are a remarkable tourist destination for those interested in history and ancient archaeology.

 

Day 3: Activity - 3
Fort of Qaitbay

The Fort of Qaitbay is located in Alexandria on the Mediterranean coast and is one of Egypt’s most prominent historical forts.
It was built in the 15th century by Sultan Al-Ashraf Qaitbay to protect the city from naval attacks.
The fort features high walls and pointed towers and offers stunning views of the sea and the old harbor.

Library of Alexandria

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina, or Modern Library of Alexandria, is located on the Mediterranean coast in Alexandria and is one of Egypt’s most important cultural landmarks. Opened in 2002, it revives the spirit of the ancient Library of Alexandria, which was a center of knowledge in antiquity. The library houses millions of books in multiple languages, along with museums, exhibition halls, and research centers, making it a global hub of culture and learning.

Check out and visit the Coptic churches. Start your tour with the Hanging Church dedicated to the Virgin Mary, one of the most beautiful and important churches in Cairo. Next, go to the Cavern Church, named because below the church there is a cave where baby Jesus and the Virgin Mary hid for three months to escape King Herod. Go downstairs and see the place where baby Jesus used to sleep. This is one of 15 places where the Holy Family stopped during their journey in Egypt, which lasted three and a half years. Next, visit the oldest synagogue in Egypt, the Ben Ezra Temple, dating back to the 9th century and open for tourist visits. Your Egyptologist guide will fully explain the history of all the sites on your tour. Finally, visit the biggest and oldest market in Cairo. Follow your Egyptologist’s steps while walking through the narrow alleys and lanes of the market. Feel the welcoming warmth of the locals while sitting with your guide and having a drink at Cairo’s oldest coffee shop (1710). Although the market was once the best place to shop for authentic Egyptian souvenirs, these are now rare, but your guide will give you advice on what to do there. Ask your guide about bargaining in the market for an interesting experience. In the early afternoon, you will be driven back to Taba to cross the border.

Day 4: Activity - 3
Khan El Khalili

Khan El Khalili is located in the heart of Islamic Cairo, near Al-Azhar Mosque, and is one of the oldest markets in the Middle East, dating back to the 14th century.
The bazaar is famous for its narrow alleys filled with shops selling antiques, jewelry, perfumes, spices, and traditional handmade crafts.
Khan El Khalili is a popular tourist destination that blends history with the vibrant atmosphere of old Cairo, and it is also known for its traditional cafés such as the historic El-Fishawy Café.
